Please be aware that, in the way of pink Opal, there are soft white areas that do not polish as well as the Opal part, and this piece has a natural groove so the sphere is not exactly spherical! It’s very lovely though.

Opal is a silica mineral, very like quartz, but it is like obsidian in that it has has no crystal structure and it has lots of water within.
