Bloodstone is dark green with red flecks.  It is grounding, but not in a heavy way.  It is an excellent healer for the physical body, especially for blood disorders and liver problems.  It is an powerful detoxifier.  It is also very useful to provide support and stability and to increase energy when compromised.  If you are feeling low following illness, and need a boost, bloodstone could give steady, reliable support.  I have found that Bloodstone has helped with infertility.

Traditional Bloodstone comes from India. This is African Bloodstone, also known as Seftonite. Whereas Indian Bloodstone is Seftonite is deep, dark green Bloodstone with small red spots, Seftonite is a paler, almost mossy green with larger patches of red. Personally, I find Seftonite to be gentler.
