Smudging is a ritual cleansing practiced in many cultures. Various medicine plants such as sage, cedar, lavender, frankincense are burned to create a fragrant cleansing smoke or smudge. We smudge ourselves to clear negative emotions, thoughts and feelings and smudge places to clear negative energies. As the smoke rises, our prayers rise to the Spirit World and to the Creator.

This lovely White Sage – Salvia Apiana – is a powerful cleansing herb with a beautiful fragrance. Use your hands or a feather to direct the smoke.

Palo Santo wood comes from the Bursera Graveolens species of tree that grows in many countries of Central and Southern America. Palo Santo is Spanish and translates as Holy Wood or Sacred Wood.

The tree is very fragrant and has a high concentration of natural essential oils. Many of us are familiar with fragrant Frankincense which comes from the tree Boswellia in the same genus Burseracea.

Palo Santo wood has long been treasured. The smoke has been used in many ways, including cleansing, meditation, prayer and spiritual healing. It has also been used for colds, headaches and other ailments and also to keep insects away.

Selenite carries a high frequency of white light and holds a very powerful healing energy. It is a very spiritual stone, clarifying thought and expanding awareness on all levels. It can be of assistance in connecting with higher guidance – one’s Higher Self, Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides.

Selenite can clear and cleanse the energy bodies, dissolving blockages in the aura. It brings the highest levels of spiritual information to the physical level and can change the nature of physical form. It prepares the way for a quantum leap and healing on all levels.
